Founded in 2008 NME aims to improve the quality of medical education worldwide.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2009 the company launched Meducation, a social network initially aimed at UK medical students, which encourages interaction between geographically-diverse medical students. It also provides access to a large amount of free educational resources submitted by the community, as well as purchasable resources created by both NME and other small publishers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of July 2013, Meducation had 30,000 members including 33% of UK medical students.
